I, along with my colleague had developed a framework on Site-Specific Planning (SSP) for the project plantations in consultation with concerned Bangladesh Forest Department officials. We had prepared sample SSP for Divisional Forest Offices by using Geospatial technologies. We also conducted training programs on SSP at Divisional Forest offices for Range and Beat Officers. Hence, I did assist on the development of monitoring framework for biophysical interventions (about 75,000 ha) under the auspices of Sustainable Forests and Livelihoods (SUFAL) project.
I was a key member of the National Forest Inventory Teams, collected field data from all around the country. The project was implemented by Bangladesh Forest Department with the financial assistance of USAID and technical assistance from Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations and SilvaCarbon of the United States Forest Services (USFS).
CRS is a research oriented institution work for Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI). While studying my BSc, I participated on four weeks internship at CRS. I was assigned on their different research work, specially for collecting primary data for invention of new variety of species on a regular interval.
Running student of the masters program at TU Berlin. It is a wide-ranging engineering discipline with a strong emphasis on mathematics and natural sciences. It includes the acquisition, modeling and processing of measurement data with a spatial reference. We learn how to develop and apply methods of engineering surveying, satellite geodesy, planetary and earth system research, computer vision and 3D/4D modeling of the real world with the help of geographic information systems.
I had successfully completed my MSc degree in Forestry from the department of Forestry and Environmental Science, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), Sylhet. My graduate dissertation was on “Effect of Forest Composition and Disturbance on the Bird Community of Satchari National Park”.
I had successfully completed my BSc (Honours) degree in Forestry from the department of Forestry and Environmental Science, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), Sylhet. My graduate dissertation was on “Composition of trait-convergence and trait-divergence assembly pattern across the environmental gradients in Lathitila beat of Patharia Hill Reserve”.
MOOC was conducted by ESRI, an international supplier of Geographic Information System software, web GIS and geodatabase management applications.
Training was conducted by two of the faculty members of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC), Dr. Yousif Ali Hussin and Henk Kloosterman. It was organized by Bangladesh Centre for Advance Studies (BCAS) and funded by Nuffic.
Keeping eyes on the importance and use of different statistical analysing softwares in research a training was initiated by, Department of Forestry and Environmental Science, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Sylhet.
